Welcome 2011

2010 is on it's way out and here comes 2011. I honestly hope that 2011 is a much better year. I am so tired of being behind the 8ball. Time for a transfer closer to home + more creations for Cutting Beauty store + I am going to try and purchase a cube at our local Video store to sell cards + my Jeans handbags in. I am going for it this year and with me typing this here, I am making it my New Year resolution to do it!

**UPDATE**

For those who love blog's....I'm back....! I have been extremely busy with our move last couple of months and have finally got my craft room the way I like it. Also been busy with the Graduation of my eldest son from Yr7 and busy purchasing uniforms, books + much more with Christmas around the corner it is such a stressful time of year.

Do you remember your graduation from Primary School?

Personally I can't remember mine, sadly.. But I know it wasn't as extravagant as the one we had the other night. Candle lighting & parade down the aisle + heaps of singing & dancing. The food was wonderful..

But I'm back into creating. Now sadly our cards are not a great success online or at the markets though we shall still be producing if your requiring something for a very special moment, just email me at Cutting Beauty and I can organize something for you specially :)

Cutting Beauty isn't going far though... I have found a new passion of making Jeans into handbags & have sold quite a few to my surprise. From the last market I only have 1 left which you can view on my facebook page. I am in the process of creating another special order this weekend.

Cards Crafted this week

It is strange how much I am enjoying creating these different cards. I have always struggled with cards due to their size, but with this new business venture I am kicking off I am really loving creating them all. Now please remember these are all original & 1 offs. So you can be assured that what your getting is a quality product that I would be all too happy to give to a family member or friend.

Both cards are showcasing a cut-out which is available at the online store. And there you will be able to see the whole cut-out. As I have covered the bottom of the flower's with the ribbon. :) If your not feeling creative then please visit the store to purchase a card original.. Cost of the card + postage to you is a small price to pay compared to the large stores which BUMP up the price...

Dishwasher Clean?????

Who has family members which always ask..........Is the dishwasher clean??........Well I have a creative solution for you. Using an old calendar magnet from a company last year. I have covered with paper then place a piece of ribbon behind some cardstock (this makes lifting and changing the sign easy) Now time to decorate! Attaching one of our cut-outs (vines & circle) beside the cardstock overlapping just slightly. I then attached some various sized buttons. I've placed some twine in one button and raised it up with some foam dots.

Then found some co-ordinate alpha's to tell our lil' chore masters (my eldest son) whether they need to do there lil' job for the day. Or if someone has to start a packing all the dirty in.. This is a nice simple example how our cut-outs can make something creative quite quickly and possibly a great Mother's Day gift.....not far away.

and when turned the other way: FILL ME THANKS

I have been busy using my creative juices and made another card which I can share with you all.. All my cards are in a GIVE AWAY here at Cutting Beauty. This card I have also used the flourish cut-out but this time I have trimmed off the bottom swirl to create a centre piece for the sentiment of friendship.. I have also put bling on all the lil' flowers to make them stand out and make their own statement. I love the quirky-ness of this card which would make a great card for your best buddy.

GIVE AWAY GIVE AWAY

Here is my latest creation from the Cutting Beauty range.. This time I have cut the image in half, inked & stamped around and place each half facing each other. Giving you a completely different effect to the other card I created :) Now I don't have any wedding's coming up but thought this card might be a great one for a person who doesn't know the sex of the baby but you don't want to give the traditional green, lime, yellow, white cards.....boring......so I have created a black, grey & white something with a spark of difference.. Now I am going to GIVE AWAY this card to those who become a FOLLOWER of my Cutting Beauty blog & leaves a comment here.

Flourish Card

Let's make something creative in a quick moment with one of the piece's from Cutting Beauty & off cut's from other projects created during our crafty moments :)

Okay crafters let's get started, grab your ink colour of your choice (mine is the wonderful aged looking Pinecone from Versa Color) & your going to slowly and carefully ink around the outside edge while rubbing it also onto the front. This is going to be the start of something new & exciting for this plain white Cutting Beauty piece..

After carefully inking the edges find a swirly stamp and then stamp in the same colour as your edges. Gives a lovely touch to something which looks plain in the packets..

Add the image to a backing card. Add some Ribbon & round the corners. You are then going to mount this onto another 2 pieces of cardstock *without* the corners rounded.

Inked edges, Ribbon + bling makes this card complete

Advertising has arrived

How wonderful my advertising tops have arrived today. So now we are looking very professional :) Here's hoping we get more sales soon. I am also joining madeit.com who is like Etsy but an australian site for selling craft + much more goodies. When I have this up and running, shall return with an update on the web address for you all..

This week is cutting week, and now I have the tops it has spurred me along to get more cutting done with more creations..
